Behind every Henry Schein order, delivery, product, service call, and customer conversation is a team of people working hard to support dental practices across the UK and Ireland.
From regulatory checks and product compliance to warehouse operations, customer services, logistics, equipment support, and specialist teams, our Team Schein Members (TSMs) are focused on delivering the reliable, helpful, and professional service that our customers depend on.
As part of our Trusted Partner Report survey, we asked Henry Schein customers to describe us in a single word. In response, many of you spoke about trust, support, consistency, reliability, and promptness.
These qualities are shaped by the TSMs across our business every day, whose valuable work helps to support dental practices, and deliver the high-quality service that our customers have come to expect.
From customer-facing roles to teams working behind the scenes, every TSM brings different expertise and experience. Meet some of the TSMs who are shaping Henry Schein today with their knowledge, hard work, and dedication.
“As part of the external team, my main role is to provide product information and support to Henry Schein customers.
The best word I could use to describe us would be trustworthy – we have an entire department dedicated to looking after dental professionals in every aspect of their day-to-day lives.
Henry Schein is great because of the people. We all work very collaboratively, and we look after each other as well as our customers.”
“Henry Schein is a really special company to be a part of, and that’s because of the people – we have a great culture here.
As a key account manager in the DSO and mid-market team, I work with procurement, finance, clinical operations, and everything in between to support our larger group customers with every function within their business.
I pride myself on being helpful for our customers. It's so important that we are responsive, that we understand what the customer is asking of us, and that we are always open and honest with our communication.”
“I manage the Henry Schein product data team who are very much a hidden cog, but without us no products would be set up or listed on our website. Good data is so important – no tool or system can work correctly if the data underpinning it is inaccurate.
One of the main reasons I like working at Henry Schein is my team. They are kind, helpful, and knowledgeable, and they pride themselves on being accurate and consistent, with excellent attention to detail.
I also like that Henry Schein’s company values align with a lot of my own when it comes to supporting local communities and the environment.”
“What I really value about Henry Schein is the way they look after people, whether customers, TSMs, or external organisations through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
In Practice Sales, we help to prepare customers for their eventual exit strategy from their practice by undertaking valuations for them, and providing poignant insights into their practice’s performance, helping them best position themselves for the future.
We’ve had both buyers and sellers tell us how reliable and accurate our valuations are, and that’s something we really pride ourselves on as a company.”
“At Henry Schein, we understand the pressure of running a practice, and we aim to support our customers in a professional and friendly manner. We want to see our customers succeed.
I'm a service technician based in Northern Ireland, so when a customer contacts us, it’s because they have an issue that needs resolving, and a waiting room of patients relying on them.
This job has always been about the people for me. I enjoy working with our customers and building relationships with them – and I’ve been doing just that for the last 20 years.”
“I work in the returns department as part of the wider operations team, which is the UK’s biggest Henry Schein team.
I would describe operations as speedy – we have multiple departments working together picking and packing orders, booking in products, and processing returns to ensure a fast and efficient service for our customers.
In my time at Henry Schein, I've come across lots of different people in different departments, and there's a real camaraderie within the company which makes it such an enjoyable place to work.”
“My role as part of the customer service team is to make sure we're giving our customers a really good service, and resolving any issues in a timely manner – whether that’s delivery queries, arranging collections, or helping them get the most out of our website.
Customers can access their orders, returns, statements and invoices, and more from their Henry Schein account, as well as browsing our items. Everything’s there for them in one place.
We are a supportive team who help both customers and customer-facing TSMs day to day; and as a company, we also do a lot of charity work to support local communities and beyond.”
“We have a really established team of recruiters here at Henry Schein, with over 70 years’ experience combined.
Being established is not just about how long you've been doing something – it’s about having the knowledge, the relationships, and the data to really understand what's going on in the market, and being able to pass that on to customers.
For me, the thing that makes Henry Schein such a great company is the people. Teamwork happens on all levels, across all departments, and we're all working towards the same goal of supporting dental professionals, and trying to make a difference in the dental industry.”
“I think it's fair to say that we are leaders in what we do here at Henry Schein. Good leadership is about listening to people, giving them clarity, trusting them to contribute, and then actually doing something with what you hear.
For me, there's a clear link between TSM experience and customer experience. If our TSMs feel informed, listened to, valued, and supported, they're in a much better position to give our customers a great experience.
A big part of my role in HR is to help create the right environment for people to do their best work by removing barriers, giving people ownership, and making things simpler, which ultimately carries through to our customers.”
“I started at Henry Schein as an operations assistant seven years ago, and I’m now a junior buyer in the inventory management team. There’s a lot of room for progression here, and that’s one of the reasons I love working for Henry Schein.
My team ensure that we have the right products for our customers at the best possible prices, by building and maintaining strong relationships with our verified suppliers.
Being organised is critical – we make sure we’ve got all the required documentation for the products we sell, and that our shelves remained stocked to meet our customers’ needs.”
