How Does The Carriere Motion 3D Work?

You can now turn difficult Class II and Class III malocclusion patients into simper Class I patients. By bonding the Carriere Motion 3D to the tooth you can gently adjust the bite back into its proper place.

It corrects the posterior occlusion to an ideal Class I platform by rotating and uprighting the maxillary first molars, while distalising the posterior segment, from canine or premolar to molars, into a perfect occlusion.
It simultaneously produces a light, uniform force for distal molar movement.
Then it independently moves each posterior segment, from canine or premolar to molar, as a unit.
By being used at the beginning of treatment, when there are no competing forces in the mouth, the Carriere Motion 3D can facilitate the distalisation of the molars and premolars within a 3mm to 6mm range.

There are numerous benefits to using the Carriere Motion 3D, the most prominent is that you can eliminate the need for headgear, and even prevent the need for orthognathic surgery in Class III malocclusion patients.

As well as this, malocclusion treatment can often go on for a prolonged period, usually around a year for adults. The problem with this is that as the months go by, patients become less compliant and less disciplined in following the guidelines set out for them in their treatment plan. The Carriere Motion 3D can mean there are less serious consequences for patients not correctly completing their treatment, as a patient with a Class III malocclusion can be turned into a Class I patient.

There is also no need for bands of separators with this method, as the Carriere Motion is bonded directly to the tooth – in as little as 6 to 7 minutes.

Finally, the Carriere Motion 3D offers a sleek and subtle design, prioritising patient comfort. The rounded edges of the appliance means that it does not irritate the soft tissue surrounding it, and it respects periodontal structures. The lack of springs in the design also eliminates the risk of trauma upon compression.

This new technique can also be combined with the Carriere M-Series Wires, a revolutionary 3-wire sequence. The Carriere M-Series Wires, including .015 Cu Nitanium wire, and the 3-wire sequence, are designed to enable a simplified wire progression protocol. This can reduce the number of wires used and help to complete orthodontic cases within 12 months.

Pre-manufactured copper Nitanium expansion wires in pre-formed wide and narrow archwire shapes are also available. They are ideal for treating expansion, crossbite, and Brodie bite malocclusions. This series of wires is unique because it offers all the benefits of Cu Nitanium wire, as well as having a built-in shape to expand or constrict the arch.

With the Carriere M-Series Wires it is now possible to address expansion needs earlier in treatment.
